Megan and Adam’s wedding was exactly that.
Their ceremony and reception took place at their family home, surrounded by their closest friends and loved ones. It was intimate, relaxed, and beautifully understated. There was nothing overly elaborate about the day, and that was part of what made it so special. The focus was simply on the two of them and the people they wanted beside them.

There was also a deeper sense of remembrance woven throughout the celebration. Megan honoured her late brother, while Adam remembered his mother, who had passed away the year before. Their loved ones were very much a part of the day in spirit, and those memories brought an added depth to an already emotional celebration.

The speeches were a perfect reflection of the couple and the people around them — heartfelt and emotional, but never without laughter. Stories were shared, memories brought back to life, and there were plenty of moments where tears quickly turned into smiles.

And then it was time to have some fun.
We took the photoshoot into the park, and what followed was anything but a traditional wedding portrait session. Megan and Adam completely embraced the moment. We laughed, played around, got a little ridiculous, and made the most of every opportunity. The swings quickly became part of the adventure, and instead of worrying about creating the “perfect” wedding photograph, we focused on creating photographs that actually felt like them.
Taking the Celebration Into the Park
Silly. Playful. Genuine. Completely in the moment.
And I think that's something worth remembering when planning a wedding.
You don't need to spend a fortune or book an impressive venue to create a beautiful wedding day. A grand ballroom can be wonderful, but so can a backyard filled with your favourite people. A small ceremony can hold just as much emotion, meaning, and love as a celebration with hundreds of guests.

Because ultimately, it's not the size of the venue or the amount spent on the details that makes a wedding memorable.
