Alicia & Jake — Where Love Comes Full Circle
Some love stories begin quietly.
A glance. A conversation. Two people crossing paths on an ordinary day, never knowing that the person standing in front of them will eventually become home.

For Alicia and Jake, that first crossing happened at Tsawwassen Springs.
Five years ago, Jake was working there as a bartender. Alicia walked into his life, and somewhere in the ordinary rhythm of work, conversation, and chance encounters, something began.
At the time, neither of them could have known that this same place would one day become the setting for their wedding.
Promises that last a life time.
But life has a funny way of bringing us back to where we are meant to be.
Five years passed. They fell in love, built a life together, and eventually Jake proposed. Then, just one week later, they discovered they were going to have a baby.
What was supposed to be a ceremony for two suddenly became something much more meaningful.
Their son was now part of their love story.
What once was two was now three.
And on their wedding day, I couldn't help but notice how beautifully everything seemed to connect. The place where Alicia and Jake first met was now the place where they stood together as a family. The beginning had somehow found its way back into the middle of their story, only this time they were no longer just two people finding each other.
They were three.
There was something incredibly moving about photographing those moments.
The quiet anticipation before the ceremony. The way they looked at one another. The little moments with their son. The laughter and emotion woven between everything. None of it felt staged. It felt like life—unexpected, imperfect, and somehow exactly right.
Fate would have it…
That's the thing about kismet.
We often imagine fate as something grand and dramatic. But sometimes it is much quieter than that.
Sometimes it is a bartender meeting a woman who happens to walk into the right place at the right time.
Sometimes it is a proposal followed by news that changes everything.
In full flight!
Sometimes it is returning to the very place where your story began, years later, and realizing just how far you've come.
And sometimes fate is simply a little boy standing beside his parents, making a wedding that was meant for two infinitely more beautiful.
The unexpected things.
As a photographer, I'm always drawn to these full-circle moments. The photographs become more than a record of a wedding day. They become pieces of a much larger story—the places, people, coincidences, and unexpected turns that brought two lives together.
Everything one man could wish for.
Alicia and Jake's wedding felt like one of those stories.
Their beginning was here.
Their family was here.
Everything a bride could dream up… sometimes it all comes true.
And now, their next chapter was beginning here too.
Maybe it was coincidence.
Maybe it was timing.
Maybe some things really are meant to happen.
Whatever we choose to call it, there was something undeniably beautiful about watching Alicia and Jake return to the place where they first met—this time hand in hand, with their son beside them, and a lifetime still waiting ahead.
A life together waiting to be lived.
